The Background:
MICK'n'OLLIE now rebranded as THE FAT COW.
Set in the fictional village of Lower Piddle, The Fat Cow follows two brilliantly ordinary working-class men: Micky Mucklebutt and Ollie Crudfark, regulars at the Fat Cow pub, supported by a large cast of other quirky local characters and locations, plus of course the women behind the boys. The humour is dry, character-driven, and rooted in the everyday absurdity of English humour - silly observational comedy with genuine nostalgic warmth and a sloppy edge, often tackling the current news stories and topics of the day through the lens of two men who understand absolutely none of it.
Mick and Ollie
MICKY MUCKLEBUTT and OLLIE CRUDFARK have been friends ince they first wet their underwear together at Lower Piddle Primary School and thereafter did everything together, until the day they both failed their college entrance exams together, which finally forced them onto separate career paths.
Ollie is now head chef at the local pig farm, cooking the swill to his own secret recipe, earning himself a Tractor-grub 3-star rating and making him legendary in pig circles, especially following his publication in the Lower Piddle Medical Journal - “How pig-swill, applied twice-daily, cured my acne.”
Micky never did get a job, but has, since he met the young Italian arrival in Piddle, SOPHIA BELLAMUCCA, who is the new owner of SOPHIA'S HAND LUBRICATION SERVICE, has been hopeful that she’d notice him, fall in love with his ardent manliness, marry him, and they’d live happily ever after, “frolicking“ in what he describes as her “magical service bay.” Or he might win the lottery instead.
