The Background:
We decided to create a series of "one-liner" cartoon strips based upon our Lower Piddle stories which revolve around an imaginary country village and it's inhabitants.
LOWER PIDDLE, a quirky little village inhabited by even quirkier locals. The village, forming the backdrop to our stories, lies off the beaten track, deep in the English countryside beside the River Piddle, unknown to most anyone except the locals and the odd driver who takes a wrong turn.
Mick and Ollie, two normally-dormant locals whose worldly knowledge doesn’t stray far from the FAT COW PUB where they are fixtures, are the accidental protagonists in our Stories from Lower Piddle together with an ever growing list of other characters

MICKY MUCKLEBUTT and OLLIE CRUDFARK have been friends since they first wet their underwear together at Lower Piddle Primary School and thereafter did everything together, until the day they both failed their college entrance exams together, which finally forced them onto separate career paths.
Ollie is now head chef at the local pig farm, cooking the swill to his own secret recipe, earning himself a Tractorgrub 3-star rating and making him legendary in pig circles, especially following his publication in the Lower Piddle Medical Journal - “How pig-swill, applied twice-daily, cured my acne.”
Micky never did get a job, but has, since he met the young Italian arrival in Piddle, SOPHIA BELLAMUCCA, who is the new owner of SOPHIA'S HAND LUBRICATION SERVICE, has been hopeful that she’d notice him, fall in love with his ardent manliness, marry him, and they’d live happily ever after, “frolicking“ in what he describes as her “magical service bay.” Or he might win the lottery instead.
